Multidisciplinary Approach and Personalized Treatment of Vascular Benign Neoplasms and Skin Malformations

Vascular benign neoplasms and skin malformations are a heterogeneous group of diseases characterized by a variety of clinical manifestations, differences in etiopathogenesis and require differentiated approaches to diagnosis and treatment. The purpose of the work was to summarize modern scientific data on etiopathogenesis, classification, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and modern approaches to the treatment of vascular benign neoplasms and skin malformations. The materials of the study were modern scientific publications, clinical recommendations, and consensus documents, analyzed using bibliographic, information-searching, analytical, comparative, and generalizing research methods. Modern ideas about the classification of vascular anomalies in accordance with the classification of the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies are generalized, the main molecular genetic mechanisms of pathology development, features of the clinical picture, the possibilities of modern diagnosis and differential diagnosis are considered. Syndromic forms of vascular abnormalities, in particular Sturge-Weber and Klippel-Trenone syndromes, as well as modern approaches to treatment with the use of propranolol, timolol, laser therapy, sclerotherapy, cryodestruction, surgical treatment and combined techniques are analyzed. It has been established that the use of modern classification approaches, high-tech methods of medical imaging and personalized therapeutic strategies contributes to the timely diagnosis, optimization of treatment and improvement of prognosis in patients with vascular abnormalities. It is advisable to direct further research to the study of molecular genetic mechanisms of the development of vascular neoplasms and the development of new targeted methods of therapy.
