The growing presence of digital environments in educational and professional contexts has increased the need to understand how data analysis resources become accessible to users. This study examines the relationship between architectural presence and functional accessibility in Microsoft Excel, taking as its object of analysis the Analysis ToolPak integrated into the software. The research adopted a qualitative, exploratory, documentary, and comparative approach, encompassing different versions of the program and technical documentation provided by the manufacturer. The findings indicate that the investigated resources are integrated into the software but depend on prior activation procedures to become accessible. Based on these findings, the concept of Latent Statistical Functionality is proposed, defined as the condition in which resources intended for quantitative analysis remain unavailable in the initial configuration despite being integrated into the application's structure. The concept contributes to a better understanding of the relationships between functional accessibility and quantitative literacy in digital contexts.
