Forming national values in foreign language classes

The article analyses potential contribution of the "Foreign Language" discipline to the process of forming national values among students. The content and activity components of organizing a nationally-oriented foreign language learning process are revealed. Examples of specific types of foreign language educational activities aimed at achieving the set goal are provided. The article's materials may be useful for researchers, methodologists, and practicing foreign language teachers engaged in issues of developing civic competencies and shaping students' national identity in foreign language classes.
