In Chapter 6 , while noting their interconnectedness, a distinction was made between prejudice as an attitude and discrimination as behavior. The former, as explained, refers to thoughts, feelings, and predispositions to act, but it is not action itself ; the latter is a term for a wide range of activities from name-calling to segregation and expulsion to mass murder, “ethnic cleansing” and genocide.
