An overview of the landscape of research on university learning and instruction in 28 reviews

In this chapter, we provide an overview of the contemporary landscape of research on learning and instruction in university education, based on the findings of the 28 review studies that are brought together in the five thematic sections of this handbook. We conclude with a contextualising reflection. With this chapter, we aim to offer both a structured map of the field and a critical vantage point from which to reflect on research on higher education learning and teaching.
