Pasifika peoples are inherently diasporic, with heritage lines and migration pathways stretching far beyond the islands where these cultures were formed. Our communities span the Pacific Islands, Aotearoa New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and beyond ( Anae, 1998 ; Hau&s;ofa, 1994 ).
