Spinach is a type of leafy vegetable that has high nutritional value and is widely consumed by the community as a source of important nutrients for the body. In general, spinach is known for its protein, vitamins A and C, and B vitamins, and also contains mineral salts such as calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), and iron (Fe). Batik spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.) is a plant that belongs to the Amaranthaceae family and originates from North Amerika. PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) are a group of beneficial bacteria that live in the root zone (rhizosphere) and play an important role in enhancing plant growth and productivity. This study aimed to determine the effect of PGPR application on the growth and yield of batik spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.) and to find optimal concentration of PGPR. The study wa conducted in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sam Ratulangi University, Manado, in June to July 2025, using a completely randomaized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications (20 plants). The treatments were plant height, number o leaves, fresh weight, and root weight. The results showed that PGPR treatment affected the growth of batik spinach, with the optimal concentration being 35 ml/L of water.
