Artificial Intelligence continues to reshape many educational practices, particularly in literacy instruction. In this systematic literature review, we synthesize 8 peer-reviewed studies, published between 2019 and 2025, focusing on AI literacy for writing instruction at the elementary level. Findings report that the integration of AI technologies has efficient results in support of writing practices, fostering creativity through multimodal application while also creating nuanced approaches to writing assessment. However, certain limitations remain to be considered for future research.
