原始摘要(英文原文)· Original abstract
The current study investigates the mechanical performance of the hollow cylindrical scaffolds with varying inner radii designed for bone tissue engineering. The biomimetic Voronoi-based structures with distinct inner diameters were manufactured using the stereolithography (SLA) technique and eco-friendly plant-based resin. The experimental results revealed that increasing the inner radius significantly reduces the mechanical properties of the biological scaffolds. Conversely, designs with a smaller inner diameter exhibited higher resistance to compressive stress and superior energy absorption. This work provides vital insights into constructing functional biodegradable supports which balance structural integrity with biological compatibility by optimising specific geometric parameters. These discoveries are intended to improve the efficiency of synthetic scaffolds utilised for medical regeneration and repair of fractures.
