This article analyzes the activities of Special Base No. 3603 of the USSR Ministry of the Armed Forces in Brest during 1946. The author examines the specifics of the reparations system operation in the post-war period and the role of the Brest transport hub in the distribution of trophy equipment. Unique materials from the State Archive of the Brest Region reflecting the management decisions of the party organs are introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. The study identifies a complex of logistical problems associated with a shortage of lifting mechanisms and poor labor organization. The paper emphasizes the importance of state control over the safety of socialist property and the suppression of valuable metal theft. Particular attention is paid to the influence of the base activities on the restoration of civil infrastructure and the energy sector of the Byelorussian SSR.
