The difference between the data of the present and last centuries from earlier primary sources sets up for analysis and critical reflection, because researchers from this period point to significant areas of discussion that eventually become mainstream for further development. The article analyzes the sources on the maiden wedding of хĕр туйĕ. It is conducted independently from the men's wedding and forms an independent block until the union of two foreign families. It defines two basic components of this tradition: the confrontation of clans and the exogamous contract. The proposed emphasis allows us to determine the logic (to find the key to) the wedding ceremony of the Chuvash. Nevertheless, the question of the historical interaction of these two bases is still open. This duality of the wedding makes it possible to read the historical primordial event enclosed in the wedding tradition, i.e. to understand the essence and chronology of its origin, development and transformation.
