Herbaceous plants are plants that are used by the community as medicine, economic value, food ingredients, ornamental plants, aromatic, cultural. The use of these herbal plants is found in various regions of the archipelago, one of which is in Minanga Tengah Village. The aim is to analyze the types of herbal plants that have ethnobotanical value and describe their use (parts used, processing methods, and uses) by the local community. The research method was carried out through field observations and interviews with communities in three areas (RT 01, RT 02, and RT 03) in Menanga Tengah Village. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the Spermatophyta division contained 2 classes, 14 orders, 16 families, 26 genera and 30 species of herbal plants. The utilization of herbal plants reviewed from the ethnobotanical aspect by the community is used, namely medicinal plants (21 species/70%), plants with economic value (14 species/46.7%), food ingredients (8 species/26.7%), ornamental plants (7 species/23.3%), aromatic plants (4 species/13.3%), and traditional purposes (2 species/6.7%). The most widely used part of the plant is the leaves (70%), with the most dominant processing method being boiling (57%). The community's traditional knowledge about the use of these herbal plants is still preserved and passed down from generation to generation.
