The article analyzes modern scientific approaches to understanding the essence of health and the peculiarities of its preservation in preschool children within the contemporary scientific discourse. Health is considered as a complex and multidimensional phenomenon that integrates physical, mental, social, and spiritual components of an individual’s well-being. The study emphasizes that preschool age is a sensitive period for the formation of the foundations of health, as during this stage the child’s organism undergoes intensive development and the basic behavioral patterns related to a healthy lifestyle are formed. The paper reviews the theoretical contributions of Ukrainian and foreign scholars who have studied the issues of children’s health, its determinants, and the conditions necessary for its preservation and strengthening. Particular attention is paid to the role of physical activity, the organization of the educational environment, the quality of daily routines, and the psychological climate in preschool educational institutions. The study highlights the importance of implementing health-preserving technologies in preschool education, including physical exercises, outdoor activities, relaxation techniques, and the formation of hygienic skills and a culture of health among children. It is emphasized that effective health preservation requires a comprehensive approach that combines pedagogical, psychological, and social influences. The findings suggest that ensuring favorable educational conditions, promoting active lifestyles, and fostering cooperation between preschool institutions and families are key factors in supporting children’s health and harmonious development. The implementation of modern health-preserving approaches contributes to the formation of a positive attitude toward health and the development of healthy lifestyle habits in early childhood.
