This study classified hospital functions into an equipment-function triage based on JIS T 1022 medical-room categories. Distribution-panel time-series power data were used to evaluate emergency generator (EG) operating hours from a fuel consumption–generation relationship for representative summer, winter, and mid-season periods. Demand-following control of EG operating units increased load factor, lowered fuel use per kWh, and extended operating hours. Incremental shedding of lower-priority panels further extended operating hours by reducing demand, but increased low-load operation and fuel use per kWh. The combined strategies prolong EG operation while preserving functional priorities.
