This research aims to study the impact of digital media use on shaping human rights awareness among students at Wasit University. It does so by identifying the nature of their use of these media, the extent of their reliance on them as a source of human rights information, and measuring their influence on their knowledge and attitudes. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool from a sample of 80 students. The results showed that digital media effectively contributes to shaping students' human rights awareness, with a clear reliance on social media platforms as a primary source of information, contrasted by a weak engagement with specialized human rights content. The findings also revealed variations in awareness levels depending on the degree of use and a diversity of digital interests. The study recommends strengthening digital human rights content within the university environment and guiding students toward the conscious use of digital media to enhance their human rights awareness.
