The aim of this study is to determine the value content of the concept "miracle" in Russian linguoculture. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that, for the first time, the axiological characteristics of the concept "miracle" are described taking into account the cultural codes embedded in them. As a result of the study, it was established that in Russian linguoculture, a miracle is conceptualized as a phenomenon / event / object / action / person / fairy-tale creature characterized by supernaturalness and inexplicability, evoking surprise, unlike anything else, and contradicting experience. It was found that all basic cultural codes are represented in the semantics of Russian paremias about miracles. Through the object code, a mythological connection between a miracle and a sieve as an image of heaven endowed with magical power was identified. It was established that nature possesses a potential ability to surprise. In this case, a cuckoo's nest serves as a measure of wondrousness. The evaluative vector of the anthropic code is directed toward compliance with social status, qualitative characteristics of a person, their mental abilities, and psychophysical state. The evaluation of a miracle in jokes is ambivalent. Periphrasis, antithesis, pun, and euphemism can act as stylistic devices that enhance the value characteristic of a miracle in jokes.
