This study aims to develop the Alfabox learning media and to determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving early childhood letter recognition skills. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study were Group B children aged 5–6 years at TK Al Hidayah Karangbendo. The analysis stage showed that most children still had difficulties in recognizing letters, such as naming letters, distinguishing letter shapes, and connecting letters with their sounds. Therefore, the Alfabox media was developed as a concrete, attractive, and easy-to-use learning tool. The results showed that the Alfabox media was highly valid based on expert validation, with a score of 98% from media experts and 92% from material experts. In addition, the media was considered practical, as indicated by a 98% positive response from teachers and 100% implementation of the learning process. In terms of effectiveness, the Alfabox media was able to significantly improve children's letter recognition skills, with an N-gain score of 0.8 in the high category. Overall, the Alfabox media proved to help children learn letter recognition more easily, enjoyably, and interactively.
