THE ROLE OF STATEMENT IN THE SENTENCE

This article provides information on how utterances used in speech are approached from different perspectives in scientific fields such as communication theory, speech act theory, and cognitive linguistics.Speech has become an object of research in semiotics and semantics, particularly focusing on phonetic semantics.This confirms that the concept of speech and its linguistic status have yet to find a clear explanation.The article also explores the possibility of a predicative relation in speech, noting that while there is a condition of predicativeness for an utterance, this condition is neither sufficient nor necessary.The issue is raised at the level of the possibility of predicability.The existence of the subject in speech is not an object of explanation and interpretation.From this perspective, the identification of judgment and speech also requires serious analysis and research.In our opinion, the primary subject of discussion should be the identity of the syntagm and speech.Only after this should the role of the utterance in the sentence be examined.
