Azerbaijani language dialects, while preserving the history of our language, have features that differ from the literary language.This can be observed in the Filologiya və pedaqogika: elmi araşdırmalar.2024, c.1 №3 Philology and pedagogy: scientific studies.2024, v.1 №3 115 phonetics, lexis, morphology, and syntax of dialects.Azerbaijani dialects have a rich lexical composition.In our dialects, words used in different periods of history are preserved, and these words are of special importance in the study of the history of our language.Azerbaijani turks lived in Western Azerbaijan, that is, in present-day Armenia.However, they were expelled and deported from their historical-ethnic lands by the Armenian state from time to time.During these times, the dialectology, archeology, and ethnography of Western Azerbaijan were not studied or involved in research.Because the Armenian state did not allow it.The history of the Iravan khanate, which historically existed in the territory of Western Azerbaijan, and the study of the dialects existing in that territory, have been systematically and scientifically studied since the 90s of the 20th century, that is, after Azerbaijan gained independence for the second time.
