CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE BNCC, QECR, AND THE 5 LOVE LANGUAGES TO TEACHER TRAINING

This work is a bibliographic study that proposes dialogues between the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the 5 Love Languages of Children (5LAC), and the Brazilian National Curriculum Base (BNCC). It aims to discuss the contributions of these two international references to the initial and continuing education of Brazilian English language teachers. Given that English is the European language taught in Brazilian basic education, the dialogue between the CEFR and the BNCC is justified. The 5LAC theory, in turn, engages with Contemporary Cross-Cutting Themes of the macro-area "Citizenship and Civics," as advocated by the BNCC. The texts were examined using Discursive Textual Analysis. The findings suggest that the inclusion of these two references in the training of English language teachers can contribute to the quality of teaching and learning processes in English and other languages, including Portuguese, since Portuguese is one of the languages referenced in the CEFR. The study revealed that both references can be applied and useful for teachers of Portuguese and other languages, when studied as foreign languages. It is hoped that this work will motivate a more in-depth reading of the references elucidated, leading to future studies continuing this theme.
