Factors Influencing Disaster Management Activities Among Nursing Students in Korea.

This study examined factors influencing disaster management activities among Korean nursing students. A cross-sectional survey of 145 fourth-year students measured ego-resilience, self-efficacy, disaster awareness, and general disaster preparedness. Disaster experience and prior education were not associated with disaster management activities. Regression analysis identified general disaster preparedness and self-efficacy as significant predictors, explaining 23 percent of the variance. These findings suggest the need for experiential and integrated disaster education that strengthens preparedness behaviors and enhances confidence. Improving these factors may contribute to better disaster response competencies among future nurses.
