BACKGROUND: Immunotherapy has changed the management of head and neck malignancies, yet its research landscape in laryngeal cancer remains underdeveloped. Understanding publication patterns and thematic development is important to guide future investigations.METHODS: A bibliometric analysis was conducted using records retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection. After document type harmonization and filtering for laryngeal-specific terms within titles, abstracts, and key words, 59 publications were included. Bibliometrix and network visualization tools were used to analyze annual production, sources, authors, countries, collaboration networks, key word co-occurrence, and thematic evolution.RESULTS: Production of scientific literature regarding Laryngeal Cancer was very low until 2020 and then had a dramatic increase in 2021 which reflects the clinical acceptance of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors. Research output was concentrated in oncology and immunology journals, with contributions largely driven by Asian, North American, and European institutions. Collaboration networks demonstrated central roles for major research nations, while key word analyses revealed clusters centered on checkpoint inhibitors, multimodal treatment integration, and biomarker-driven outcome studies. Thematic mapping identified immunotherapy as a mature research theme that drives current scholarly activity.CONCLUSIONS: Immunotherapy research in laryngeal cancer has accelerated in recent years, with increasing emphasis on combination pharmacologic strategies, biomarker-guided patient selection, and organ-preservation approaches. These trends highlight the evolution of immuno-oncologic therapeutics while identifying critical areas for continued clinical and translational pharmacology research.
