The findings supported the proposed factor structure and demonstrated high internal consistency for both subscales. INTRODUCTION: Existing measures of romantic love primarily assess global feelings, attitudes, or relationship satisfaction, providing limited insight into how love is communicated in everyday interactions.
METHODS: The present study evaluated the psychometric properties of the Marici Love Messages Scale (MLMS), developed within the Love and Rejection Messages Theory (LRMT) to assess two complementary dimensions of love messages: Content (what partners do) and Modality (how these actions are expressed). Two independent community samples were used for exploratory and confirmatory analyses.
