One of the most important methods of optimizing the composition of the machine and tractor fleet is the harmonization of the use of material and technical resources during the maintenance of agricultural machinery throughout the life cycle of machines, including recycling. (Research purpose) The research purpose is development of methods for selecting parts and assemblies of decommissioned agricultural machinery in order to reuse them during repair and restoration work at enterprises of the agro-industrial complex. (Materials and methods) It was determined that the method of selecting parts and assemblies of agricultural machinery decommissioned and transferred for recycling is a multifactorial task requiring analysis of the system of indicators of recycled machinery. We have provided a model for the selection of parts and assemblies of recycled agricultural machinery with the determination of the real possibility of their use during restoration repairs and maintenance work to maintain the operability of machines during operation. (Results and discussion) The possibility of carrying out measures for the selection of parts and assemblies of recycled agricultural machinery for reuse was substantiated using the expert assessment of specialists of engineering services of the agro-industrial complex and the accumulated scientific potential of research institutes. The methodology provides for the determination of the optimal size of the expert group, the development of an optimal scheme for the disposal of self-propelled agricultural machinery, allowing the most complete extraction of suitable parts and assemblies. A scheme was presented for use at engineering service enterprises, focused on the most complex and expensive equipment. (Conclusions) The conducted studies using the methodology for determining the factors of selection of parts of agricultural machinery for the purpose of their further use on the example of a group of recycled tractors K-744R and combine harvesters TORUM-780 showed that the share of usable parts for tractors is 35-40, for combine harvesters is 28-32 percent. This technique will allow maintaining a high technical level of the machine and tractor fleet.
