原始摘要(英文原文)· Original abstract
The white leg shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei, is an ecologically important tropical and euryhaline species. The culture was conducted from three ponds, each one of 1.2, 1.1, and 0.6 ha, for the study. An intensive culture system was selected in Koppolu village, Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh, under bore water conditions. Sy aqua seed was collected from Vaishnavi Hatcheries; the L. vannamei seed was provided from the CAA-certified Eethamukkala village in the Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh. Stocking densities of L. vannamei PL10 (post larvae) were taken from three samples; each one contained 50, 27, and 25 species/m², and their survival rates were 53%, 76%, and 86%. The artificial diet was provided 4 times/day with 38-42% protein. In the winter season, from the months of November to February, the water quality parameters were measured fortnightly in a month at 7 a.m. The final growth was 14.28, 19.23, and 20.0g; production was 7510, 6725, and 3695 kg; and FCR was 1.64, 1.53, and 1.42 for Pond 1, Pond 2, and Pond 3/118, 98, and 99 days, respectively.
