Students that major in pedagogical fields need adequate digital literacy. This review focuses on the ongoing transformations of digital literacy in teachers’ training, i.e., curriculum, structure, content, information support, didactic support, personalization, technological tools, and reflective practices. Teaching digital literacy is a complex process that integrates various skills necessary for future teachers and educators. The study involved 179 first-year students of the Kemerovo State University, Russia. The diagnostic tools included tests, surveys, and an authentic questionnaire. They revealed a statistically significant increase in digital literacy. The empirical study confirmed the efficiency of the new approach, which relied on interdisciplinary integration, practice-oriented learning, cognitive stimulation methods, digital mentoring, and monitoring.
