The development of the Adversity Response Profile for Indian Students involved a comprehensive process to ensure cultural relevance, linguistic appropriateness, and psychometric robustness. Here is a breakdown of the key steps taken in the development of the instrument: Item Development for Attitude: The new dimension, attitude, was populated with items derived from a variety of sources, including literature review, existing instruments, and direct input from university students in a focus group interview. The resulting 23- item scale comprised five items: control, origin, and ownership (O2), reach, endurance and attitude for each of the five subscales."
