Research progress on glaucoma complicated with anxiety and depression.

Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible blindness globally, with its incidence continuing to rise. Anxiety and depression are highly prevalent psychological comorbidities among patients with glaucoma. This narrative review summarizes the latest domestic and international research regarding anxiety and depression in glaucoma populations, focusing on their epidemiology, risk factors, bidirectional interactions with glaucoma, and relevant intervention strategies. This review aims to provide theoretical evidence for optimizing clinical psychosomatic comprehensive management regimens, so as to improve therapeutic outcomes and quality of life in glaucoma patients.
