This dataset contains the experimental data collected during a controlled between-subject study comparing the standard Case Management Model and Notation (CMMN) with its enhanced version, CMMN+. The study involved 55 undergraduate participants randomly assigned to one of two groups: a control group (n=28) working with standard CMMN models, and an experimental group (n=27) working with CMMN+ models. The dataset includes participant-level data for four dependent measures: Interpretation accuracy (proportion of correctly answered true/false comprehension items) Task performance speed (number of completed tasks per second) Perceived ease of use (PEOU) — 12-item scale, 7-point Likert response format Perceived usefulness (PU) — 4-item scale, 7-point Likert response format Participant background information (gender, year of birth, study programme, prior familiarity with visual modeling languages) is also included in anonymized form. All personally identifiable information has been removed prior to publication. The data were used to test four hypotheses regarding the effect of CMMN+ enhancements on model interpretation accuracy, task performance speed, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness. The original questionnaire (in Slovenian, the language used during the experiment) and supplementary statistical materials are available at: https://github.com/matejabule/CMMNplus-validation.
