The present edition comprises 960 bulls and letters of Pope Pius II, written by himself or at his personal instruction. It probably includes the most important ones, but, undoubtedly, many others have yet to be retrieved. The present edition does not comprise the mass of routine letters issued by the Roman Curia during his pontificate (spiritual graces, privileges, etc.).
