Screening Instruments for Somatic Symptom Disorder: A Scoping Review of Development, Validation, and Cross-cultural Adaptation

this scoping review constructs an evidence map of SSD screening instruments to examine their coverage of DSM-5 Criterion A and B constructs, the availability of psychometric evidence, and cross-cultural validation, and to assess how instrument characteristics align with intended clinical functions. This framework is intended to support more context-sensitive selection of screening tools across clinical and healthcare settings.
