Supplemental materials for "Reverse Engineering Assessment: Using AI to Design Meaningful Evaluations from Learning Outcomes" by Desiree Bowlby and Betsy Tuma (Pikes Peak State College), presented at the 2026 AALHE Conference (Virtual), June 9–10, 2026, and submitted to the AALHE Conference Proceedings. This project contains verbatim, unedited transcripts of two AI interactions conducted with Claude (Anthropic) that are analyzed in the paper: Transcript A ("No Pushback / Vending Machine Mode") demonstrates the paper's three-prompt Reverse Engineering Assessment protocol without iterative dialogue, and Transcript B ("With Pushback / Thinking Partner Mode") demonstrates the same protocol with faculty pushback and disciplinary context. The transcripts were originally distributed as handouts at the conference session.
