The Relative Development Levels of Independent Turkic States: Strengths and Weaknesses of the Countries

In this article, the development levels of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan among world countries have been determined. In the study, which used 47 development indicators from 156 countries, principal components analysis and cluster analysis were utilised. Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, which exhibit development similar to that of most countries in Asia and the Arabian Peninsula, have been placed in a cluster of 31 countries. Kazakhstan, unlike the other Turkic states, is part of a cluster of 45 countries, while Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are part of a cluster of 47 countries.
