The article reveals issues related to the specifics of the activities of domestic small agricultural enterprises, in particular peasant (farmer) enterprises, during the period of import sanctions restrictions. The article assesses the impact of innovative management tools on the efficiency of small agricultural businesses, particularly in terms of land use. The contribution of small rural farms to the development of food security in our country, including at the level of the Southern Federal District, was examined.
