Realization of Improved Command Converter Based on Locus of Novel Minimum Total Loss for PMSM with Iron Loss

This paper focuses on increasing drive efficiency of permanent-magnet synchronous motors with iron loss. The command converter is crucial for achieving efficient drive. It must solve a simultaneous nonlinear equation (SNE) defining the loci of constant torque and minimum total loss (MTL), in real-time. The proposed method implements a command converter that solves a SNE with a new and highly rational locus of MTL by a new real-time algorithm.
