(a) Research originality: The originality of this paper lies in uncovering the factors that influence the business success of SMI entrepreneurs in today’s competitive environment.(b) Research objectives: This study examines the factors influencing the business success of SMI entrepreneurs in Malaysia. These factors include human relations, social media, personal branding, education level, business strategy, and government support.(c) Research methods: This study adopts a quantitative approach, and 109 responses from SMI entrepreneurs in Malaysia were collected through a survey questionnaire. Regression analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS version 28 to test the proposed hypotheses.(d) Empirical result: The findings reveal that human relations, social media, education level, and business strategy significantly influence the business success of SMI entrepreneurs.(e) Implications: The findings offer policymakers insight into developing SMI entrepreneur business models and policies, creating a dynamic landscape for Malaysia's SMI entrepreneurs. Additionally, the findings contribute to the existing literature on SMI entrepreneurs in Malaysia.
