Awakening Under the Empty Sky: Lingis and Karma.

This essay considers the philosophy of Alphonso Lingis as presented in his book Dangerous Emotions (2000) with respect to the themes of ethical responsibility, generosity, and karma​. It engages the author's personal relationship to Lingis with respect to his work and takes up the speculative connection between Lingis' thinking and Buddhism.
