Evaluation of a National Interdisciplinary Educational Intervention to Optimize Comprehensive HIV Care.

This study evaluated the acceptability and perceived impact of a three-session national HIV education program integrating biomedical advances, team-based care, and stigma reduction strategies. Using a mixed-methods pre-post design, participants completed surveys assessing perceived knowledge, utility of training, planned actions, and ability to support virologic suppression. Participants reported significant increases in perceived knowledge across all sessions. Sessions were rated highly useful, particularly the stigma-focused training. Participants described intentions to apply learning to patient care, staff training, and organizational practices. Qualitative findings highlighted improved communication skills and greater awareness of stigma's role in care engagement. These findings suggest that interdisciplinary virtual HIV education is acceptable and may support provider capacity across diverse settings. Programs that integrate biomedical and stigma-informed approaches may strengthen efforts to improve HIV care outcomes.
