Addressing Nutrition Insecurity Through a Social Determinants of Health Framework: Training Wisconsin Nutrition and Dietetics Professionals.

The Wisconsin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (WAND) used an equity-based social determinants of health framework underpinned by the social-ecological model to train dietetics professionals statewide. Six sessions and mentorship were associated with higher self-reported participant confidence, resource navigation skills, and advocacy capacity to address nutrition security barriers, fostering multi-sector partnerships and policy action.
