Anhedonia as a transdiagnostic construct: implications for clinical practice and research.

Anhedonia, the diminished interest and/or capacity for pleasure, is increasingly recognised as a transdiagnostic symptom that spans mood, anxiety, neurodevelopmental and psychotic disorders. Rather than being specific to any single disorder, anhedonia reflects core dysfunction in reward processing and affect regulation, with broad implications for social and functional outcomes.
