Executive summary: Workshop on preterm birth, January 28-29, 2025, co-sponsored by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.

The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine collaborated with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at the National Institutes of Health to co-sponsor the annual SMFM President's Workshop on preterm birth. The workshop focused on spontaneous preterm birth and sought to explore clinical evidence, preclinical and translational evidence, environmental and social factors, and opportunities to collaborate with stakeholders on future research.
