Rehabilitation of the edentulous maxilla poses significant clinical challenges for the clinicians and patients due to progressive ridge resorption, compromised retention and stability, altered phonetics, aesthetic concerns, and increased functional demands. The Global Consensus for Clinical Guidelines (GCCG) for the rehabilitation of the edentulous maxilla has discussed the literature on the rehabilitation process under five heads - Patient Selection, Diagnostics, Treatment Planning, Treatment Procedures and Maintenance. The present case report discusses the rehabilitation of the maxillary arch of an edentulous patient with an implant supported fixed dental prosthesis (IFDP) in the light of the GCCG guidelines.
