Prenatal diagnosis of an isolated median cleft of the lower lip.

Orofacial clefts are among the most common congenital anomalies, typically involving the upper lip and palate. In contrast, clefts of the lower lip are exceptionally rare, with very few cases reported in the literature, particularly in the prenatal setting.We report a case of prenatal diagnosis of an isolated median cleft of the lower lip identified during the third trimester. This case highlights a rare congenital anomaly and underscores the importance of a thorough fetal facial assessment during routine ultrasounds.Prenatal diagnosis allows for appropriate perinatal planning and facilitates multidisciplinary counselling for optimal postnatal management.
