Successful Treatment of Onchocerca lupi Auricular Infestation Causing Severe Otitis Externa in a Dog.

We report the first successfully treated case of auricular Onchocerca lupi infection in a dog in Switzerland, causing severe unilateral otitis externa. Diagnosis was confirmed by molecular analysis after nematode extraction. Combined therapy led to complete remission within 6 weeks, highlighting O. lupi as a differential for chronic otitis with mass formation.
