Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is a widely utilized tool for risk assessment and reliability analysis. The application of FMEA entails the engagement of members with diverse knowledge and backgrounds, giving rise to numerous issues during the process of determining evaluation information and resulting in deviations in risk management. Thus, an improved FMEA method considering the connection of the interactive dynamic trust relationship in social networks with the interactive mechanism among expert opinions is proposed. First, aiming to derive a comprehensive social trust matrix and expert weights, a multipath and parameter social trust network completion model based on evidence theory is developed. Second, considering the mutual influence between expert evaluation opinions and trust relationships, a dual-interactive-dynamic risk assessment feedback model based on opinion similarity and trust value is established, and the risk levels of each failure mode are quantified through linguistic distribution assessment (LDA). Finally, considering the correlative relationships among risk factors, the improved method considering correlative cause-and-effect relationships is employed for risk priority ranking. By applying the proposed method to the case of high-quality development engineering in the Yellow River Basin, its effectiveness and superiority have been validated through sensitivity and comparative analyses.
