Previously Unrecognized Tracheobronchopathia Osteochondroplastica Diagnosed Following Unexpected Difficult Tracheal Intubation During Robotic Surgery: A Case Report and Literature Overview.

Previously unrecognized tracheobronchopathia osteochondroplastica caused unexpected failure of endotracheal tube advancement despite optimal videolaryngoscopic visualization during robotic surgery. Bronchoscopy established the diagnosis and enabled definitive treatment with rigid bronchoscopy. This case highlights the importance of suspecting occult tracheal pathology and avoiding repeated traumatic intubation attempts.
