ABSTRACT The article presents research exploring how ‘mainstream’ unions can revitalise inspired by the bottom‐up organising of ‘indie’ unions. Putting insights from the ‘organising debate’ and Power Resource Theory to iterative work with rich interview data, we develop a strategic synthesis for a new unionism for 21st Century Britain.
