Frontal Sinus Diseases Followed by Untreated Medial Blow-Out Fractures.

Blow-out fracture (BOF) is a common orbital wall fracture caused by blunt trauma. Surgical repair is generally indicated in patients with significant enophthalmos or diplopia, whereas small fractures are often managed conservatively. Herein, the authors present 2 cases of frontal sinus disease arising in patients with untreated BOF. These cases highlight the importance of considering BOF not only as an ophthalmic concern but also as a potential cause of sinonasal complications. Timely surgical intervention and close otolaryngologic follow-up are recommended to prevent delayed sequelae such as mucocele or sinusitis.
