Coccidioidomycosis Testing Among Patients Hospitalized With Community-Acquired Pneumonia.

Among 1141 inpatients from Arizona with community-acquired pneumonia, 865 (75.8%) were tested for Coccidioides infection and 85 (9.8%) had positive results. Patients more commonly underwent testing if they had concerning radiographs, fever, dyspnea, or fatigue. Patients with night sweats, rash, headache, or eosinophilia more commonly had positive results.
