Abstract This chapter presents strategies for maintaining health and managing stress through practical and sustainable lifestyle choices. It defines stress as both positive (eustress) and negative (distress) and emphasizes recognizing personal stress responses and physical, cognitive, and emotional cues. The chapter guides clients in identifying stress triggers across various life domains and introduces adaptive coping strategies such as scheduled downtime, exercise, adequate sleep, balanced diet, relaxation techniques, and supportive social connections. It underscores the value of structure, predictability, and goal-directed behavior in fostering resilience and well-being. Finally, the chapter reinforces learning through assigned stress management practice and preparation for follow-up sessions.
